VBS/Manis

VBS/Manis is a script worm written in Visual Basic Script.  It spreads as a file in attachment of email messages.  It arrives on computer in form of a message with the subject "HERMOSO DESEO".  In the message body is the following text:

HEY

OLVIDA LA GUERRA, ABRAZA LA PAZ

The worm itself is located in the attachment with name HUMANISMO.HTML.vbs.  After activation the worm copies itself as a file HUMANISMO.HTML.vbs into subdirectory Temp in the directory where the operating system Windows is installed.  Then it sends out its copy to each address which it finds in the Outlook address book.  The worm searches through the folders containing received mail and mail to be deleted. If it finds a message with subject HERMOSO DESEO it deletes it.
